These drawings are part of a series made on site at the Dinosaurs Court at Crystal Palace Park, London.

Commissioned in 1852 and unveiled in 1854 to celebrate the move of the Crystal Palace from Hyde Park, site of the Great Exhibition, to the grounds of Crystal palace Park, the dinosaurs representations were based on the latest scientific knowledge at the time and were made under the direction of Sir Richard Owen.
